State Democratic Convention

Its been quite a couple of days with so many Democrats in town! Colorado Springs hosted the State Convention. This weekend I served as an alternate delegate and volunteer for the convention. It was really exciting to see so many passionate people voice their opinions. Many were campaigning for themselves to get a seat at the Naional Convention in August. Met lots of interesting people and learned a lot. On Saturday, I spent the day meeting Govenor Ritter, the Lieutant Gov, Colorado's Party Chair, many Senators, Hillary's Campaign Manager-needless to say I was overwhelmed. My job was to serve them refreshments, greet, and mingle. Despite my urge to take up close pictures and ask for autographs, I refrained. It was a long couple of days, but very worth it. The excitement of politics is fun, but I am glad the education is my career. I'll stick to volunteering for now! Hoping to go to the National Convention in August!
