Falling in love with Colorado

What a fall it has been! Time has gone by fast this fall. Coaching volleyball has taken up lots of time and energy. The girls ended the season on a positive note at the league tournament. The best part about coaching is watching the girls grow and learn. They sure came a long way this season!
The Froot Loop team has made the transition from 7/8 loop to the 6/7 loop. I am loving my new teammate Maggie. Caleb, Matt, Maggie, and I are in the top picture. My good friend, Jena, found us matching Froot Loop hats. We looked pretty sweet at camp. The 6th graders are so sweet. My homeroom is all of the 6th grade girls. For my birthday they made cookies, a card, and brought flowers. I was overwhelmed by how special they made me feel. The highlight so far has been 6th grade camp. The kids were awesome, the weather beautiful, and the aspen were changing. Many of the high school counselors were former students. It was nice to reconnect with them and hear about their lives. One of my former kids is going to MSU!!! His parents were alum too!
Even with all this craziness, Andy and I took time to drive to Aspen for the day. The colors are so beautiful. There isn't all the colors like Michigan, but with the mountain contrast, its amazing. It was nice to spend a day together with no distractions.
Our biggest fall event is the anticipation of Baby Street. My pregnancy is going well. I haven't been sick at all. A little full feeling in the evenings and very tired, but other than that I have been feeling great. I think being tired could have something to do with my schedule. I have an appointment in a couple weeks to hear the heart beat. I am in my 10th week and just starting to show. My friend at work is helping me "eat for 2". Apparently, its contagious! Its fun to think about what Baby Street will look and act like. I have to remind myself they come out as little babies, not giant pre-teens. Hopefully, all the middle school experience will help me be a good mom.
